Purpose is the key to driving retention, recruitment, sustainability and DEI. All younger generations want purpose, and can sense when an organization isn't being authentic and coherent between concepts and action. A key to leading with purpose lies in the realization that purpose is more than the sum of a company’s social and environmental investments.
To ensure authentic and well-sustained, impactful purpose, it must be seen as a long-term commitment that is measurable and well-defined, and embedded into an organization’s culture, operating model, brand, values, stakeholder engagement and products. This means that a company’s purpose-driven strategy and corporate strategy should be one and the same.
