About this Workshop
Professor George connects with her audience and carefully guided them through an understanding of “the pursuit of happiness.”
- We define “happiness” from a scientific perspective and then discuss the neural and physiological basis for the experience of happiness.
- From there, we discuss the specific experience of being happy, and what skills and strategies will best help us accomplish happiness. In pursuing happiness, we decrease other more negative emotions, so this is a positive approach.
- We will participate in writing exercises that have been scientifically validated in helping to increase our happiness levels, and are good tools to use with employees, administrators, students, etc.
