Jon Perrin is the Founder of the Twisted Trauma Foundation, a registered nonprofit organization that raises awareness and support for individuals living with a mental health Illness or injury.
Jon shares his life story, from being sexually abused as a child, to being initiated and hazed as a 15 year old playing Junior Hockey, to becoming a first responder living with PTSD, after locating the bodies of 2 young people (within a 2 month period) who had both died by suicide - hanging. Jon uses his own personal experience and knowledge to help inspire others to overcome mental illness and trauma.
Jon’s speaking engagement provides hope and inspiration to individuals who are struggling with their mental health. Jon’s talks are perfect for high schools, colleges, universities, first responders, and organizations that care about the mental wellbeing of their employees.
Jon is certified in Sports Psychology and Hypnosis.
Jon was the recipient of the 2021 Naresh James “Champion” of mental health award, handed out by the Canadian Mental Health Association, and the 2021 Citizen of the Year for the City of Kawartha Lakes. Jon was also a finalist for the 2022 Police Hero Award, and the 2022 Community Partner Award from Canada Beyond the Blue.
